Ness Technologies Helps Telefónica O2 Czech Republic Improve Efficiency in a Strategic Two-year Engagement

(NASDAQ: NSTC and TASE: NSTC), a global provider of information technology solutions and services, announced today the completion of a major milestone in a strategic, two-year core technology engagement at Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, the Czech Republic’s largest telecommunications provider. The multi-million dollar engagement has significantly improved the efficiency of landline service delivery, while providing Telefónica O2 a lower short- and long-term cost structure.

The engagement involves improvements to Telefónica O2 Czech Republic’s system for setting up customers’ fixed lines, including analysis of and enhancements to Telefónica O2’s customer provisioning system, technical assessment and upgrades of its user change request system, and improvements to its configuration management system, along with associated testing, documentation and other system integration services. As part of the project, Ness Technologies successfully deployed Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management to provide both a technical customer service catalogue and inventory as part of the end-to-end architecture.

In addition to greater efficiency and cost savings, the engagement is also providing a range of operational benefits to Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, including improved, guaranteed service operation; a new platform and work methodology that enable and enforce cooperation between different parts of the overall work team; and much more. Through the completion of the milestone in the two-year engagement, Ness has successfully fulfilled all the expectations of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, completed the transfer of the know-how, and provided high quality and timely services according to the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Business Intelligence in Ness leads an experienced manager

(NASDAQ: NSTC), a global provider of comprehensive solutions and services in the field of information technology, nominated an experienced manager Petr Kaminek (37) to lead teams of Business Intelligence specialists in the Czech Republic. From 1st July 2009 Peter works for Ness at the position of Business Development Manager for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. He is responsible primarily for the future direction and development of this area within the company.

 Ness has built the competencies Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing for more than 10 years as it is one of the strategic lines of the company’s development. Thanks to Petr Kaminek it will be possible to build on existing knowledge and experience of more than 70-member team and move them even farther. Particularly in light of current market opportunities – for example optimizing marketing processes, implementation of a data foundation of  the campaign management or the integration with the third party systems.

This area provides organizations a high added value –obtaining new information from the already stored data and in particular to monitor the trends in the future.  Petr Kaminek works in the area of consulting and IT for more than 11 years, and for his previous employer, Accenture, he has carried out many large and complex projects. He has an experience with the implementation of Internet banking and other subsequent direct channels for the large banking houses. He has led several teams that were aimed at implementing client interfaces, deploying to the application server, or has stood at the head of the functional and test team. He boasts personal experience in building and development of a BI experts group across the entire Central and Eastern Europe region.

 Petr Kaminek graduated at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University with specialization at Mathematical modeling. He speaks fluent English to a professional level. By projects in which he participated and which he led, he learned how the consulting and IT companies work, to be responsible for the entire life cycle of information system and also became an expert on regulatory rules known as Basel II. Petr Kaminek is also a visionary in the field of BI and puts a great attention to the quality and development of his colleagues. In addition to his work Petr is devoted to his family and in his leisure time to tourism, geocaching, and about twice a year playing the so-called LARP (live action role-playing game).
